    Now that's a great commercial!

  2. Christine says:

I couldn't take my eyes off the video. Why isn't that our commercials (in the US/Canada) can't be as hard-hitting as those?

  3. Quixotic says:

Good grief. That was bloody horrible. I'm a little shellshocked.

  4. Kelly says:

    Aww, how sweet…

GOD. Was that really necessary? Seriously. What if we're eating while we watch that? What if we're eating and watching it in the car while we're driving? Remind me not to sit on any walls from now on.

  5. Fence says:

The fast the speed, the greater the mess.

It is great isn't it Sir Jorge, hits home everytime it shows up on the telly.

Christine, RTE and NI telly has been showing these style of adverts for a while. Don't really know if they are having any effect, but I suppose that even the tiniest is a good thing.

    Quixotic, reasonable response I think.

Kelly, you have a strange definition of sweet :)

  6. Harlequin says:

"What if we’re eating and watching it in the car while we’re driving?"

Genius Kelly. Just genius. You could sue RTE – I crashed my car because I was watching your ad while driving. Brilliant.

  7. Aidan McDonald says:

    who sings the song?

  8. Harlequin says:

The song was written specially for the ad campaign, according to the Belfast Telegraph. If you really want to know more about it, you could always ask Lyle Bailie International, the ad company.

Although that's kind of missing the point of the ad. "Oh look, people die cause of speeding, I think I'll slow… oooooh, song pretty!!"

  9. Fence says:

It reminds me a little of Damien Rice. Although that may be because he has that section in one of his songs where is sings "can't take my eyes off you" over and over again.

  10. Mary says:

ladz who sings that song iv been tryin to find it evrywhere nd i cant nd itz stuk in mi hed!savage song tho.

  11. Jose says:

The video NOT show the velocimeter (Mph) , but the

tachometers (RPM-Rev per min) raises very fast, that means he must be

in certain Gear: 3, approx 50mph…… IS IT "VERY" FAST ?

speed isn't the number one factor in that crash

Its the person on the wheels, from the video its clear its driver error.

If the speed was the case then all cars would be capped at 55mph :S

  12. Fence says:

On some roads 50 mph is too fast Jose. The whole point is that unexpected things can happen, if you are going to fast then you can't react.

  13. This video is the best I have ever seen. Viewing this should be a requirement for Drivers Ed or speeding ticket class or DUI.

Does anyone know who sings or band that does "I can't keep my eyes off you"? We all need to slow down!!!!!!!!!
