Cheerio

I’m heading off to Sligeach amárach, so I won’t be around on Sunday for Luna Nina, I know you’ll all be suffering withdrawals :) but instead you could focus all your energy on making sure that Ireland utterly destroy Wales in this weekend’s match.

Nothing really against the Welsh, but sure, tús maith leath na hoibre don’t you know.

And the Irish U20s seem to agree, they played the Welsh U20 side earlier today, and won, just about. Although de brudder’s school team wasn’t as lucky. They lost their match, a quarter-final, in a game that they could have won, but didn’t. De mudder says he was gutted, as this is pretty much his last match for the school.

In other news, Forgotten Machine posted about a short story comp that Parenthesis is running, so if you are feeling up to a bit of fiction you might pop by. Not sure if I’m going to write anything. Will be away[1] over the weekend, and work is a tad busy due to the joys of conflict resolution and personality clashes.

Would you believe that I used this exact expression in a preview of the 6N that I published just now?

Have an enjoyable deireadh seachtain, a Fhence, agus no doubt we'll be ag caint about the match later.

    Gerry.

Looks like we'll be battling it out for the second half of hoibre then…

Indeed, and I'll be in Croke Park praying that Les Bleus lose. Lose mightily in fact.

    Oh the cruelty.

And I make no apologies for that cruelty. Though if it ends up being reversed, well, just be prepared for some moaning and wailing, and possibly even some gnashing of teeth.
