Aiming to misbehave

There is a new, and freaky, looking Australian poster for Serenity. Reminds me of the C4 freaky dancing Lost ads[1]

click here to see for yourself.

Chud don’t think much of the poster, saying to them it looks like a film about dance. Which I suppose ties in to my freaky Lost ad[2] theory. And while I kindof agree that it won’t get many bods into the kino, I think Serenity will do okay, and hopefully will do much, much more than okay and get many more films made.

Got a bit of a Mad Max feel to it.

I love how its a poster featuring a chick with a sword and axe and then in the lower left corner says "moderate violence". It sure doesn't seem to have the Firefly look that I'm used to, but if it'll get people into the theatre then I'm all for it!

Nope, doesn't look at all Firefly-like. Although I'd agree with Anne, there is a Mad Max mood going on there. Mal looks pretty weird in it

Ni maith liom an postaeir sin. It looks all weird and chop-socky. Not at all like a space-western with hookers and priests and veterans of an interplanetary war flying around in a ship powered by love and crossed fingers.

Bhuel, ní cheapaim go bhfuill sin ceart do Serenity, ach, is maith liom é. It looks freaky, and if I didn't know anything about the film it wouldn't put me off going to see it.
