Remember that a foreign country is not designed to make you comfortable. It is designed to make its own people comfortable

Setting:

Okay I’ve been doing a little messing with the layout. Added a link to my most recent Del.icio.us links, and have got the gravatars working. And made the text a little bigger.

If anything messes up people’s viewing let me know and I’ll ctrl+alt+z it all :)

In the meantime I’ll get back to watching the X-Factor. Shayne’s going to win, mainly because it is, imo, mostly girls who vote, and teenage girls especially, and he will be most popular amongst that demographic I’d say.

    Journey South gone.

So sick of it. Come on with the result. Came home from dinner with friends and they're fecking around with montages from their pasts. End our misery now.

Strictly come dancing at the same messin'

I was right. Genius that I am. Shayne is the winner. But isn't that song so very boring? Already I don't want to hear it anymore, and I've only heard it three times :)

You're right – it's a pretty poor song. Andy's was a better choice. I posted on my blog that after all the controversy Louis Walsh might actually get a Christmas no1 with it. He mightn't if we were the single buying public – but we're not. Those that voted will probably buy it and we'll spend hours trying to scratch it out of our heads becuase it'll be on loop between our ears as it'll be played everywhere. Can't wait.
But the trip to the CD factory to see them preparing and then atually making the CD was perhaps the most rivetin TV I've seen since last year's RTE1 New Year's Eve extravaganza – thankfully I don't have long to wait until this year's show!

Didn't they sing the same song? It had the same chorus at any rate.

I was out on the town but my mate text me that Shayne had won – was inevitable and yeah, the same teenage girls that voted for him will also buy his single, which incidentally reminds me of something by West Life or Boyzone (switched channels when I heard it on the radio this morning…) I think Andy should have won.
