This is one of those short stories that I just didn’t gel with, I think I needed it to be longer… defeats to purpose of a short story, I know, but I needed to know a bit more about the ending.
This isn’t, I don’t think, and problem with the story itself, instead it is one of those problems I sometimes have with short stories. I’m left feeling like, this is a great start, now where’s the rest.
There’s a good discussion about it on metafilter, and I really liked the ambiguity and the message to the story, but as a story I just bounced off this one.
