I’m trying to keep track of recommended reads. Too often I read a book because someone really like it, or wrote a great post about it, and then I forget where I got that recommendation from. Often I’ll do a search but come up with way too many posts so this year I’ve decided to add them all to a spreadsheet. At the moment these are the titles I have listed :
- Bledsoe, Alex – Hisses and wings rec’d by SF Signal – unread & unbought
- Moore, Christopher – The Serpant of Venice rec’d by Lynn’s Book Blog – unread & unbought
- Horowitz, Anthony – House of Silk rec’d by The Broken Bullhorn – unread & unbought
- Robinson, Eden – Monkey Beach rec’d by BookLust – unread & unbought
- Medawar, Mardi Oakley – Death at Rainy Mountain rec’d by Aarti – unread & unbought
- MacDonald, Helen – H is for Hawk Costa winner – unread & unbought
- Elliott, Kate – Court of Fives rec’d by Renay unread & unbought
- Cogman, Genevieve – The invisible library rec’d by Curiosity killed the bookworm – unread & unbought
- Dickinson, Seth – THE TRAITOR BARU CORMORANT rec’d by Kameron Hurley unread & unbought
- Marshall, Alex – A CROWN FOR COLD SILVER recd by Kameron Hurley unread but preordered
- Priest, Cherie – MAPLECROFT rec’d by Kameron Hurley Bought but unread
- Bennett, Robert Jackson – City of stars rec’d by Renay – unread & unbought
- Lloyd, Tom – Old Man’s Ghosts added because I liked the cover on Tom Lloyd’s on twitter feed.- unread & unbought
- Lanagan, Margo- Zeroes trilogy mentioned on Margo Lanagan’s blog – unread & unbought
- Fuller, Claire – Our endlessly numbered days rec’d by Curiosity killed the bookworm – unread & unbought
It’s difficult keeping track of all the book recommendations I must admit – this is a good idea as I do like to give credit for good books to the relevant blogger!
Thanks
Lynn :D
Lynn´s last blog post ..Book updates
I’m using a google spreadsheet, that way I’ll hopefully be able to add recommendations no matter when I come across them. We’ll see how it goes. I’m hoping to post monthly updates.
We’ll see how that goes too :)
yay, Monkey Beach! It’s amazing and everyone should read it.
I’ll get to it soon I hope
I really want to keep better track of where I hear about books, too. I read BREADCRUMBS last week and everyone that I THOUGHT had read it… Hadn’t, so I was confused for a bit there.

I hate when that happens”
Just FYI, I closed Broken Bullhorn (though it’s still sitting there) and opened a new, though really a continuation, blog Tip the Wink. The url is http://www.tipthewink.net, should you wish to update your links and such.
