Always be yourself. Unless you can be Batman.
In the irreverent spirit of fun that made “The LEGO® Movie” a worldwide phenomenon, the self-described leading man of that ensemble – LEGO Batman – stars in his own big-screen adventure. But there are big changes brewing in Gotham, and if he wants to save the city from The Joker’s hostile takeover, Batman may have to drop the lone vigilante thing, try to work with others and maybe, just maybe, learn to lighten up.
(from Letterboxd)

Batman, as we all know, is dark and grim and brooding. He lives alone. He works alone. He is alone. Or at least, that’s what he thinks. This film is anything but dark and grim, take note Batfleck! the grim needs to be balanced or else the grit just irritates the viewer.

If you’ve seen The Lego Movie1 then you’ll have some idea what this film is like. And it totally lived up to my expectations. It was fun and entertaining, and I laughed loads. Plus it has a nice message about working together and lots of little call outs to other shows & films.

Go see it, you’ll enjoy it.
