The gret thing about working in a library is getting to flick through so many books that I might otherwise never even glance at. Children’s picture books tick those boxes. It is amazing how awesome some of them are.
And this one features dragons and penguins. What more could you possibly want in a story?
Well, it also touches on bullying, adoption, not fitting in, loneliness and a whole heap of themes if that is what you are looking for in your children’s books. And those are all cool to have, but it is much more important to have a story and wonderful illustrations to hold onto the child’s imagination. I think this book will certainly do that.
