Goodbye and thanks for all the fish
Its been fun, over the past few years, but *shrug* I’m bored now. And so, am retiring from the blogosphere.
For my final post I’d like to mention one of my favourite poems, We Are Seven by William Wordsworth. Its my mind because I posted a link to Sean Bean reading it over on Kelly’s blog. But it isn’t just Sean’s voice that makes me like it.
It was one we studied at college, and I’ve loved it since then.
Tags: bye, We are Seven, William WorsworthExtract from the poem:
Sisters and brothers, little Maid,
How many may you be?”
“How many? Seven in all,” she said
And wondering looked at me.“And where are they? I pray you tell.”
She answered, “Seven are we;
And two of us at Conway dwell,
And two are gone to sea.“Two of us in the church-yard lie,
My sister and my brother;
And, in the church-yard cottage, I
Dwell near them with my mother.”
