I seem to have done nothing lately but reviews. And this after I made my grand “returning to blogging” speech. I guess I don’t have very much to say. Either that or I have too much to say, but to start typing it all out would involve actually processing thoughts and forming arguments and constructing a post. That’s just not

Was back in Sligo over the weekend, and it was a bank holiday weekend so it only finished yesterday. I could’ve posted, we’ve now got broadband at home, but I didn’t. Main reason for travelling was the school reunion. It was weird being back in the school, weirder cause it was different, and even weirder cause we took a wander

It’s what Caesar did, and he’s not going around saying, “I came, I conquered, I felt really bad about it.” The history of the world isn’t people making friends. You had better weapons, and you massacred them. End of story.

I’m gone. But not wanting to neglect this auld blog I’ve set up a post or two for over the weekend. In today’s Irish Times Tim O’Brien gives us a brief history lesson on Ireland’s crappy transport system. He uses as an example Alice, who traveled from Boyle to Bray on the train 50 years ago, and says it took her the same amount of time to get from Boyle to Dublin as it does today, 3 hours. Well I didn’t

I got my letter from Iarnród Éireann today. The train broke down twice on my last trip home so the journey was an hour and a half longer than it should have been. So I got some vouchers off my next trip. Better than nothing I suppose. Anyways, when I opened the envelope and skimmed the letter I had to

About getting online, although in all fairness I did blog before I went to Scotland, only when I checked it seems as though the note saying I’ll be away for a mite more seemed to have been wiped off the face of the earth. Since my last post I have moved out of Dublin, moved home. Applied for a couple

Moved home, unpacked but still have to find places for a few things. Job-hunting. Went back to Dublin in order to collect

Was a complete and utter drag. First off I slept in, due to the fact that we had no electricity and so I was depending on my phone to wake me up. It did the job, but I switched it off, as I normally do with me alarm clock, only for it to go off again in 9 minutes. Not
