He played by flipping peanuts to squirrels

Finally found the new Fred Vargas book out in a proper size. I hate the over large paperback. Trade size or whatever. So awkward so I put off buying Wash this blood clean from my hands until now. It still isn’t as neat as Seeking whom he may devour but it’ll do.

I also bought The Assassination of Jesse James by the coward Robert Ford because of the film. And I read the opening paragraph or two. Seems good. And it has a pretty cover, don’t you think?

Jesse James

To be honest I shouldn’t really be blogging at the mo’. I should be tidying my room. But I couldn’t be arsed. It is cleaner than it usually is, no clothes on the floor. A fair few books and other whatnots scattered about. But de mudder, who I’m tidying for, can deal with that. Besides, it isn’t like she’ll be hear long. One night, then the rugby on Sat and then she’s off. She’s seen a hell of a lot worse :)

I loved this film.

I loved everything about it. The acting was brilliant. The way the story unfolded. The narration. The casting. The scenery. The cinematography. The soundtrack. Everything was just great. Best film I’ve seen this year. Which’d be a higher compliment if this wasn’t the first film I’ve been to see so far this year. But I’m guessing it’ll be up on the top ten list by the end of 2008.
