  • Percy Daggs III - Wallace Fennel
  • Jason Dohring - Logan Echolls
  • Francis Capra - Eli “Weevil” Navarro
  • Enrico Colantoni - Keith Mars

Season 1 of Veronica Mars was a pretty good example of the perfect season. Once that first episode started it gripped you and you wanted to watch straight through. And when it ended there was uncertainty over it being picked up again, so there were aspects of that final episode that were left open, you could choose who was at the door if it never made it back.

spoilers below

But it did get a second season, and so it was revealed that it was Show Spoilers ▼

at the door.

But the first half of this season never really got going properly. Yes there was the mystery of the bus crash, but it wasn’t as important to me as Lilli’s death in the first season. But mid point in the season it really took off again. I’m not sure exactly when. Some people might suggest the episode Donut Run, when Show Spoilers ▼

but I’m not too sure. That was a turning point in that Show Spoilers ▼

was out of the picture, and now the door was wide open for Show Spoilers ▼

but that episode, and whole storyline seemed a bit sloppy to me. Surely Show Spoilers ▼

Maybe it was the episode Aint No Magic Mountain High Enough when we get to see Logan go all sweet and luvvy dovey Show Spoilers ▼

Plots within plots.

And then there is the Lilly Kane murder trial. Show Spoilers ▼

but it was a great storyline to bring back.

I could bring up other issues, like the Show Spoilers ▼

or the return of Show Spoilers ▼

, altogether this started slow, but the reason raised its game more than enough to make up for that. And rewatching will probably help.

Final episode: Show Spoilers ▼

Why don’t you tell the cow about its beautiful eyes?

Published by Fence under TV

You’d have thought that I’d've learned my lesson about the internet and gorram spoilers by now wouldn’t you? How many years of waiting quasi-patiently for Buffy and Angel and not reading spoilers. Okay so I did on occasion break into SFX’s spoiler zone, and the internet wasn’t as readily available back them, but still.

Was over at Whedonesque and came across a link about the top 10 hours of tv this year, so I did the clicky thing. Wrong move sucker. Ended up reading about the ending of Rome.

Okay, so it wasn’t a big spoiler. Just one little line, about one little thing that happened. And a good thing. But still. We’ve only two episodes to go. Only two. And I’ve been spoiled. Liou coe shway duh biao-tze huh hoe-tze duh bun ur-tze.

Anyways, in other news I managed to spend over 200 quid today. And no real fun stuff. Clothes for work. Boring.

Temptation is calling

Published by Fence under Ramblings, TV

Man, I hate those red spoiler warning on Whedonesque.com, especially when they relate to Serenity, like this one, which says it is only a minor spoiler, but how minor is minor? And if I give in this once, will I be able to stay stronger for longer? (that kinda rhymed).

I wanna read all about the show and how fabtastic it is. But no, I’ll resist, for a little while longer at least.

There was also mention of Point Pleasant as it had its first episode on E4 last night. I watched because of the Marti Noxon involvement, but all in all I wasn’t very impressed. And the main girl (Christina I think) looked far too much like Buffy. I’ll give it a few more episodes before I decide one way or antoher though. Not like there is a whole load showing at the mo’ anyways. Although Sundays look like being busy, what with ER and 24 showing in the same timeslot. Decisions, decisions.
