News from Empire Online raises the prospect of seeing WOT made into a film:
“a fantasy craze has taken hold of Hollywood and shows no signs of letting up. The latest news is that production company Red Eagle Entertainment has optioned the rights to Robert Jordan’s monumentally popular and monstrously sized Wheel of Time series.”
Personally, I don’t really see it. After all with there being 10 books already and more one the way, it would have to be a miniseries, not a film or series of films. I reckon they might take the general idea of WOT and film it, or just do the first book and alter the ending so it is an ending.
