I don’t think I would have started reading this short story were it not for the fact that it is on the Hugo shortlist. I have to say I found the title a bit off-putting as I hadn’t a clue what it meant.
After reading it however I can say that I do know what it means, and it fits, but I still find it a bit strange.
If you do too, and it is putting you off reading this then take my advice and forget the title, just read the story. It’s a well told story all about just desserts.1
