There isn’t really all that much plot to this film. A ten year old girl on her way to school one morning encounters a wild fox. She has never been so close to one before and is captivated. She makes it her mission to get closer to the wild animal, spending all her time in the woods in an attempt to tame “her” fox.
This is not a film that everyone will enjoy. It is more a wander through nature rather than a story. And the dubbed version of the girl didn’t work that well for me. And Kate Winslet was a little overly-sentimental as the narrator. But I ignored all of that and just enjoyed the beautiful scenery and animals.
That worked for me because foxes are awesome.
