Bishops move diagonally. That’s why they often turn up where the kings don’t expect them to be

I’ve just been watching RTE’s Apparitions and to be honest, it just made me sad[1] I mean, I don’t know Joe Coleman, and I really don’t know what he thinks, if it is all a con, or if he believes in what he says. For all I know maybe he is telling the truth about what he sees. Maybe the virgin Mary does appear to him. Makes no less sense than a lot of other things accepted as fact in the Catholic Church. And to be honest, it isn’t as though he has done even half the harm that the church has done.

And the total and utter hypocrisy of the so-called[2] catholic people on that show. Giving out that what Coleman was rambling on about, calling it superstition and not authenticated. Well, come on, think about it, isn’t religion just codified superstition? mixed in with a bit of tradition, and of course oppression of the majority by the minority.

That’s not to say I believe in what Coleman says. I don’t. I don’t believe in those sort of visions. And as for Knock itself, my god[3] is it tacky! And a money making exercise for the church, just like all those old indulgences and pilgrimages. Maybe Coleman is a modern-day Luther about to start his own religion.

It is all just a bit too BrassEye!
