I didn’t get very far with my weekly photos last year. Only had 8 or so I think, judging by archives. But still, 8 is better than none. Right?
This was taken from my apartment balcony in Mullingar. It was taken the week before Christmas and the weather is still freezing. Worse now than in that photo. I know, I know, some of you are saying sure that’s nothing. That you get snow and hail for all 12 months of the year. But in Ireland this is shockingly bad weather. And now they say it may continue til March. That’s just crazy!
Luckily enough we don’t seem to be too bad here in Mullingar. I mean it is cold out, and the canal is frozen, and today we had that horrible freezing fog, but at least here in the town the roads & footpaths are all gritted. So far they are anyway. Then again, the county council are turning off the water every night on account of people leaving their taps running so their pipes won’t freeze. Or summat.
