Oh my gawd!

   Posted by: Fence   in TV

Do you know that I have watched no real telly so far this week. Okay, so I spent the long weekend watching nothing but House season one. But that was on dvd, so it doesn’t count. Apart from that I’ve watched the finale of this season’s Lost and the season finale of Bones and thats it.

And to be honest I was impressed by neither. Meh to both I say.

I did catch 5 seconds of Rome repeats on Discovery last night. I miss good telly :(

Even Medium is repeats now. I can tell, Alison has long long hair. le sigh Nothing to watch.

You mean to say you missed the start of the new season of Grey’s Anatomy on Tuesday??

HA! I came on just to mention Grey’s and how if you were only smart enough to have gotten addicted to its mental-ness, you could now be enjoying it. Ah, Alex holding a baby. Ah, Alex getting his righteous anger on. Ah, Alex missing Rebecca/Ava/Jane Doe. Blech Meredith. Bleccccccch George and Izzy.

See, there’s telly. It’s not great, but it is addictive. :-)

I’ve got to admit, Grey’s is absolute meaningless, light drivel but it is totally addictive. And sometimes I do think it actually knows how shallow it is and actually takes the piss out of itself with Mer’s ‘deep’ voice-overs.

But yeah Alex. And Derek. And Alex.

I thought you had promised to stop saying “meh”. Remember that? On your word of honour, you said.

I’m afraid I’m just not a Grey’s sort of person. I have seen the odd episode. Not my cup of tea.

And Mal I promise to never keep any promises I make.

Meh isn’t a real word. Suzie Dent wouldn’t recognise it.

meh is a valid word, simply because there is no alternative. bland / innocuous / whatever are not the same!

The correct term is “chicken and chips”.

I persevered with Grey’s even though I didn’t like it all that much and now I’m pretty much hooked.

House on the other hand is just plain genius. Not a single dud episode in 4 seasons..

Maybe the great internet gods are trying to tell you something Mal.

You’re right, bland/innocuous whatever, those words simply don’t have the dismissing attitude that meh does.

Red I think I’m sorta happy that I don’t need to be unhooked :)
