Of course all multinationals are evil! But really, the Satanist multinational rumours are just a small part of the book. For some reason, that just popped into my head. I think Satan put it there. (When I was a kid, I saw a shop called Satin and was horrified, thinking it was SATAN. I wonder what they would sold in THAT shop.)

I like your bird Mal. All multinational companies are ebil, not just the US ones, so I'm not sure if I need to read that :) Although I'll keep the author in mind.

Hey Kelly, great to see you back in blogland.

I DO like Satan, but he's bad for business. He keeps wanting to poison the customers. And I wasn't running down the US of A. I love the US of A. But the Brunvard books feature rumours about how a few American companies have been dogged by accusations of Satanism.

What's this, Mally? I turn my back for ONE SECOND and you're running my country down? Besides, I thought you liked Satan. Don't make me get my gun.

Hello, Fency! I've missed you. School is almost over (Friday) and I'm already feeling like I can breathe again. Your new blog look is fantastic, by the way. xo

Actually, I've embarked on my own reading challenge recently. It's to read every novel on the bookshelf, working upwards and right-to-left. We've accummulated hundreds of books over the years, of all sorts, so it's quite an undertaking...the essence of the challenge is I'll give ANYTHING a go, as long as it's not:
1) A war story
2) A mystery (not books, but puzzles in prose)
3) A thriller, whether financial or political or any other kind

Right now I'm reading a publisher's proof of An Imperfect Lady by Sarah Harrison. It's not bad, even if it DOES have gardai in Ireland in 1920.

Instead of The Hero with a Thousand Faces (Joseph Campbell is boring, and that's why Star Wars is awful), or the Tooth Fairy, you should read some of Brunvard's books about urban legends. The Choking Doberman, or the Vanishing Hitchhiker. Very entertaining, and you'll learn how several American multinationals are run by Satanists.

Hey there Susan (or Fence if you prefer)
This may be a bit of a shot in the dark...
But basically I'm a PR/Marketing type, who is in possession of some review copies of a new sci-fi novel! If you'd be interested in getting your hands on a copy, or just want a little more info, please contact me at rachael at hyperlaunch dot com.

That also goes for any other UK literary bloggers who might read this post :)

Thanks!
