Sometimes evil drives a minivan

Desperate Housewives made it back onto our screens last night. RTE even showed a special “catch-up” episode beforehand. Just in case any of us had forgotten the crazy wackiness that goes on on Wisteria Lane.

And so I would just like to say that I hate and despise Susan Mayer. She is just so pathetic and crap at everything. Even her “kookiness” is pathetic.

Not that I really like any of the characters. But her, her I hate and despise. Do I need to say that again, cause I can repeat myself endlessly. Caught in a loop like whathisface from the Shining.

I agree that the Susan character is pathetic and crap but actually, I quite like her, although if I did have a fave character, it would probably be Bree. I've only watched the first series and caught snippets from later series. Must get them on DVD to catch up.

well, i can't stand that hatchett-job woman, so i haven't even gotten near to seeing how she portrays this susan mayer character. although, everything you've described about her character is what i hate about her, or (to be as fair as possible) her acting style. that kookiness is a point. and vain! vain, vain, vain!!

I used to like Teri Hatcher in Lois and Clark and never watch DH usually – I'm aware of it and don't hate it or anything but only bother to watch it occasionally – but you're dead right, her character is hijous. I truly hate that other wan – the Eva Longoria wan and the tall trampy one but I sort of like the one with cancer who's married to the gay fella off Melrose Place, and Bree (at last, I know a name!) tickles me pink. But then I have a well-known thing for redheads ;-)

Nathan Fillion's wardrobe was really awful (although his hair is better than it was on Miss Match) and the scene with him examining Teri Hatcher was horrible. His wife is an appalling nightmare too. Don't know if I'll bother watching it just for him.

    The catch-up episode was hi-larious.

Oh i don't know. haven't watched that show in forever, but i kind of liked Susan in the first season.

Then again, yeah, not a big fan of Teri Hatcher.

    Oh i don't know.

    signed: confused.

I just googled 'I hate Susan on Desperate Housewives so much' and this blog came up.

She's got to be the most loathsome, pathetic creature ever dreamt up for a sitcom/ soap. I just cringe for Terri Hatcher every scene.

Mind you, she's got some serious competition now with Mike, the guy whose best acting was when he was in a coma.
