Spend spend spend
Decisions, decisions. I’m thinking of spending money. But I’m not sure on what yet. When the PSP first came out I did think about getting one. But then that faded and I never did. De sister has a DS, and they do look fun. I’m thinking getting one. With the Brain Training game. Anyone got one and can recommend another game. Or got one and hated it and can tell me why I shouldn’t get it?

I could always nick my dad’s dust covered one for you…
The game I thought about getting him was (pause for googling…) Phoenix Wright, Ace Attorney. But I don’t really know if it’s good or not. I think Zelda should be good as well. Have a look on Amazon and see if anything appeals.
If you get a DS, I’ll get a PSP (you know, when I have money again and all!) and then when we get bored we can swap. Or we could just argue over which is better.
I bought my PSP a couple of years ago and it’s great, not that I’ve had the time to complete any games yet but the graphics are ace and should you be inclined, you can watch movies on it too (and download a load of stuff).
Think there’s some brain training kind of PSP game too.
I do have friends who have the DS Lite and they seem to have fun with it too.
Go on spend money, god knows the economy needs a few spendthrifts right now (that word always confused me i mean - does it mean you spend a lot or that you’re thrifty??? i think it means you spend a lot which is what i mean it to mean!)
But yeah, my sister has a DS too with the Brain Training game - the fun lasted about ten minutes tbh (and that’s coming from an ubernerd). They are cute to look at though (espec if you get it in pink!)
Obviously mine’ll be better than yours H. Sheesh.
weenie, something about the PSP just doesn’t appeal to me. I’m not all that interested in watching films on such a small screen, and I know you can hook it up to the telly but I already have a laptop and a dvd player and an mp3 player for the moosic, and I’ve heard the games are better for the DS. Our first games console was a Nintendo, and you know that that means I’ll always edge towards their products whenever a choice must be made
That is the best reason for buying TGWAOF, I’m off to save the Celtic Tiger!
I only have one film for my PSP (The Matrix). I’d disagree that the games are better for the DS as many are aimed at children but it depends on what sort of gaming experience you’re after!
I still have a Nintendo Gameboy advance which I should get rid of on ebay but I can’t bring myself to.
Our first games console was an Atari!
Well, Fence is a very childish person so the DS should suit her so. BURN!
Yeah, that’s for saying your not-yet-purchased-item would be better than my not-yet-purchase-item. POW!
Ahem.
We had games on the PC but the first games console I remember seeing was the Atari that my cousin got for Christmas when she was staying with us. And years and years later when another bunch of cousins upgraded to a newer console we got their old Nintendo and played Bomberman and Super Mario. On cartridges. But I still preferred playing Indiana Jones on the PC.
oh dear… if it were up to me i’d recommend you to buy buy buy! i’m so bad with money - especially when it comes to fun stuff like ds’s and dvds and books etc…
that ds does look very cool, and not just a miniature ps2 like the psp… but then, will one really continue to use it? i reckon you would. along with the cat, curiosity killed fence - so you’d have loads of fun with it.
Looks like I’ve made the right decision as I got home this weekend to discover that B#1 has figured out how to get thousands of Euros of stuff on de sister’s DS. So I’m off to buy mine this week.
yahoooey!
So Harlequin will be getting the psp - seriously, there’s nowt wrong with it being a mini ps2!
OK. As long as I know what I’m doing.
Although I’m now more tempted by the wii, since I’m not commuting at the moment and love the idea of spending the cold winter evenings playing tennis with myself. I’m bored with the regular old playstation since I don’t really like my new (old) Prince of Persia game. Wish they’d release another Ratchet and Clank. Although I think there’s one on the PSP so hmmmmmm. Intervesting…
Well, I’ve recently renewed my interested in my psp because I cannot allow myself to be tempted to buy a wii….so I go round to my mate’s house to play on hers once in a while!
My tennis elbow injury never recovered from an 8 hour wii session playing tennis, baseball and Zelda - it’s totally addictive, you have been warned….
The wii is great weenie isn’t it? Big fan of the tennis, although it can get a little dangerous at times
