Her name is Teresa Ann Gravatt and she is seven years old: She has a mirror through which she can see into another world.
There were two reasons I picked this up at the shop. First of all I recognised the name Christopher Priest from the film The Prestige and second of all I quite liked the cover. Why a slightly blurry photo of a man pointing a gun at me appealed I’m not sure, but it did. Reading the blurb I wasn’t too sure. Virtual reality and police procedures didn’t grab my interest, so I opened the first few pages and took a quick skim. That made up my mind.

Thirteen Books I own, but that are still waiting for me to read.
Memory and Dreams by Charles De Lint.
I’m thinking I’ll add this to my Once Upon a Time reading list.
A Wrinkle in Time as I’ve heard nothing but good things about it. i think this may be more sci-fi than fantasy, but I’m sticking it on the additional Once Upon a Time reading list as well. I may not get to it in time. Then again, I may.
Another Charles De Lint; The Blue Girl
One already on my Once Upon a Time reading list.
Fitzpatrick’s War
Don’t really know much about this book. Sci-fi, futuristic earth type thing I reckon.
The first book in the Vampire Diaries series.
Andi mentioned these ages and ages ago. And I think Heather did to? Haven’t managed to read it yet. But I’ll get there eventually.
Black Juice
A collection of short stories. This is one that I’m adding to the Once Upon a Time list as it looks perfect.
This is the second in the Dresden Files series.
I haven’t read the first so I’m not sure when I’ll get to this.
Long John Silver
Pirates! And that is all the explanation needed.
- Quozl I bought because I’ve heard good things about the author, Alan Dean Foster.
Cordelia’s Honor
I’ve read one or two by the same author, and enjoyed her books so I’ll give this one a go at some stage. Mind you, this is one of her sci-fi ones and I’ve only read her fantasy previously.
Tree and Leaf ; Smith of Wootton Major ; The Homecoming of Beorhtnoth, Beorhthelm’s Son
I’ve had this Tolkien book on my shelves for ages and ages. No idea why I haven’t actually read it yet, but it is another I’m adding to my Once Upon a Time reading list.
Fables: Wolves
I don’t actually own this yet. But I still really want to read it, so I’m listing it here
