Seachtain na Gaeilge
I tossed The Algebraist. it was okay, but I really wasn’t all that fascinated by what was going on in it. Course that meant that I had nothing to read at lunch time, so at random I’ve picked up That Lady by Kate O’Brien. Which I’d never heard of before. Anyone read it?
De Sathairn chuaigh mé amach chun grianghraf a glacadh. Go dtà Sraid Ui Chonaill agus, go dtà An GairdÃn Cuimhneacháin. Sea, arÃs. Ach tá an ceamara nua, agus sin an fáth. Agus, tá fhÃos agat, táim leisciúil agus nà mhaith liom dul ró-fháda.
In case you haven’t figured out the reason for the Irish, it is Seachtain na Gaeilge. So expect a few paragraphs as gaeilge for the rest of the week. Although, I make no dearbhú that any of this is ceart. But that isn’t the point. Is it.
Go fÃrinneach this may actually shut me up, as nÃl a lán gaeilge agam and so mightn’t be posting all that much. Then again, I may just write in English. Who knows. The future’s not our to see, que sera sera[1]
