I officially hate everyone!
Okay, so I’m not at the “lip curling, teeth bared” stage quite yet, but the stabbing people in their soft underbellies with pens[1] sounds about right. It isn’t really that they’ve done anything specifically to annoy me, but somehow everything they do is annoying me. What with their walking and their talking. What is that all about?
So I headed off to amazon for some impulse purchases, and what I’ve ordered is:
- The Rest Falls Away by Colleen Gleason, Carl liked it, as did Quixotic and I haven’t spotted it in any offline bookshops. And Play doesn’t have it, which is why I went to amazon despite now having to pay for postage.
- Vampire Diaries: The Awakening Ive no idea what this is about, but it was something like €4 and “recommended” so I figured what the hell.
- The Black Jewels Trilogy by Anne Bishop, cause one of my book groups is reading it.

Another weekly meme that is. The Friday five thing doesn’t really appeal to me anymore, not sure why. So instead I’m gonna do the Thursday Thirteen. Course this means I now gotta come up with 13 things every week. Not quite sure if I’ll manage it, but we’ll see.

Thirteen Things about ME
in other words, 13 things that are probably already listed in my 101 things page, but, as this is the first I figure I may as well start at the beginning
- I have 5 brothers and a sister. All younger than me except one.
- I don’t use real names on my blog
- The brothers are referred to as B#whereever they come in the family eg B#1, B#4 etc. Or sometimes I’ll simply say de brudder. Which can refer to any of them. As I only have the one sister you can figure out for yourselves how I refer to her.
- I like to lie.
- When I say lie I usually mean exaggerate for effect. So not strictly an untruth, more of a stretching, you know, like whatshisface in Big Fish.
- Then again, sometimes everything I say is exactly how it happened, it depends how imaginative I’m feeling.
- I’m usually quite good at starting things
- Which means I’m not quite so good at following through.
- Like many, many people, I procrastinate. If it weren’t for deadlines I’d never finish anything.
- But I don’t like to be late.
- As a matter of fact I’m usually early. Which is probably a reaction to de fadder always being late, or taking longer than he said. You know the way “I’ll be back in two minutes” ends up with you hanging around waiting for ten.
- Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol was the last song I listened to this morning before starting work.
- I only have a couple of hundred songs on my MP3 player but have around 10 gig waiting to be added. I’m procrastinating you see.
