Anyone else waiting to see if Trevor Brennan’s ERC diary will be online anytime soon?
For those of you saying Trevor Brennan? Who he? Well he’s a rugby player, with Toulouse, and last weekend Toulouse played Ulster in the Heineken Cup, in what may be Brennan’s last Heineken match. He didn’t start, although once he came on he did manage to get into a little argument with an Ulster player, which earned both of them 10 minutes in the sin bin. But the big incident of the match? Why that’d be Brennan climbing into the stands and punching an Ulster supporter. Allegedly.

Ulster Rugby also refuted claims yesterday that Brennan had been provoked into his assault on London-based supporter Patrick Bamford by sectarian chanting, or by references to his mother, as was alleged on RTE’s Liveline radio show and by Toulouse on their club website.
Toulouse police have dismissed the incident as a “private matter between two people” but Bamford, the 25-year-old Ulster supporter who was assaulted by the former Irish international, is expected to pursue a civil action.
