Sister Winter
As I was hitting k and v[1] this morning I knew that my post today would be nothing but a selection of links and me going “Dude, how cool is this.” or “isn’t this fab”.
But then I forgot to keep all my tabs open and it is too much hassle to revisit my history pages and I’m lazy, so you don’t get to see the wonders that webland brought me today. Maybe tomorrow. Then again, maybe not.
I will however link to this great article in the Observer [2] about a little autistic boy and how surfing helped him.
It is impossible to convey what this has meant to me psychically. I have the requisite words, but they will ring hollow if you haven’t yourself met great sadness. On the worst days I look into Luke’s eyes and find them empty as pools. I know there’s life inside them, but don’t know how I know; there are times when he’s just gone and has left no note.
Guess what?
Yup, today is Thursday, which means . . .
tomorrow is Friday. And then it is the weekend. Already? Who’d'a thunk it could possibly come so fast?
Also, I’m a thinking that this would be perfect for christmas. No?
