The blog’verse can be a weird, weird place on occasion. You visit random links and blogs, reading what other people write, sometimes interacting, sometimes just lurking. Some bloggers you never get to know, you just read but don’t engage. Elsewhere you might leave comments and get to know bloggers. You see the comments they leave elsewhere, you see their name pop up in different places.
You may never be close but you know them.
And then you get an email telling you to take a look at their blog. And the whole suddenness and unpredictability of life in general slaps you across the face.
Jesus. That's… horrible.
I remember something similar happening to a Browncoat – random sudden awful death – and how the blogverse seems suddenly scary. That people can be part of your life and then gone with no warning. I feel the urge to leave hugs around the blogs I visit.
This is so sad.
Hug, D.
Oh, that's so sad. She was young, too… sigh.
do we have to?
I couldn't believe the numbing shock that came over me when I so happily clicked over to the Fish this morning to see what Jenn See had to say today. The whole day has felt like an out of kilter unreality and the sadness and loss is so hard…and I was simply a blog friend, nothing more. The sadness I feel for her family, her friends, and for OB is almost overwhelming. I can't imagine, I simply can't imagine. I'm going to miss her viewpoint of the world so very much.
Shock is a perfect description Carl, like you I only knew her through her blog, but feel so sorry for her family and friends.
yeah. this sucks.
Ditto.
