Evening starts rather earlier in the day in Ireland than it does in British English. Any time after midday is likely to be described as the “evening”, whereas in Britain the evening does not start until about 1700 hrs

Looks like the govmint have come up another genius transport plan. What they intend is to dig up Stephen’s Green. And stick an underground station under it. That’ll be great won’t it? One of the few green spaces closed off, and in all likelihood turned into a big old building site. Luvvly-jubbly.

In fact I love the "Dublin fucktards government" chain. And yes, "Dublin government" wouldn't quite have the same ring to it.

Just ten years? Pftt…that's nothing! This has been almost twenty years <a>Big Dig. I honestly cannot remember when it started was it 1986 or 1987 or wasa it 1988?

But, slowly the past few years the finished project has emerged and it's definitely lovely. Instead of a hideous highway that ran above the city we have open space…places where the sun never shined are finally visible. Twenty years of construction…tried everyone's soul!

It's not even the amount of time this'll take Sally. It's the fact that they are thinking of digging up a lovely park in order to stick a station under it. It's just plain stupidity.
