Only Robinson Crusoe had everything done by Friday.

10 March 2006

Thank god it’s Friday.

Got definite news on the library move yesterday. Well, definite in that we confirmed the fact that the library will be moving[1] in early August. Where to remains to be answered, although at the moment it looks likely that we will be staying “in the area”. I’m being told that in two weeks they should have a decision made about where it is, that it is, that we are moving to.

The Irish Blog Awards are on this weekend, Sat around 7.00. I’m not going, cause I am lazy, but I hope all those who do attend blog about it so we can get the sca second hand. There will be wireless there, so maybe some blogger will put up the results as they happen?

And congrats to Damien for all the organisation.

You mean you won't be there to give your speech if/when you win? Tsk-tsk.

  2. Fence says:

    No, speechifing is boring :)

  3. Kelly says:

Fence, you can't avoid speechifying as Ultimate Ruler. Oh wait, you're the puppetmaster; I forgot. That means I'll be making the speeches. Excuse me while I throw up violently first.

I hope you win, of course.

  4. Fence says:

Yes, puppet. Come to Dublin, go to the hotel. Speechify in my stead.

Fence, did you see that the graphic from the top of your blog was used in The Irish Times article today?

Get over that laziness and come for cocktails. :)

  6. Fence says:

Really Sinéad? I didnt even look at the paper today. Will take a gawk on Monday when I get to work.

    Cool.

Moving a library always sounds like an ass whip to me. Many good luck wishes for a smoothe move and minimal pains in the arse.

  8. Kelly says:

Okay now wait. You will actually have an award ceremony for the blog contest? An actual CEREMONY?? Holy smokes. You'll have to prepare a speech in case you win, truly?? I'm in shock. I had no idea this blog thing was real, Fence. Um, that is, Master…

(which puts me in mind of Xander and Dracula again. haha!)

  9. Fence says:

I suppose I can be gratful the library isn't that big Andi, hopefully all I'll have to do is direct the removal men, but somehow I doubt it'll be that easy.

Yes Kelly, a real ceremony. With prizes and Microsoft sponsership :)

Trust you to raise the taste barrier NM :)
