We didn’t underestimate them. They were just a lot better than we thought.

Steve Staunton! Steven Staunton? Where did that come from? I’d heard his name mentioned for the Irish football manager ages ago but never took it seriously. Has he any managerial experience?

And whats the deal with Bobby Robson being a mentor?

Still, I’ve always liked Steve as a player. Not only an Irish player but a Villa one too[1] but still, my brow is furrowed and I’m just saying “huh” is all.

Course part of this is so I don’t jinx him be giving him my support ;)

I’ve already seen Dunphy giving out that he took the wrong side in the Saipan incident. Enough with that already, as Dennis would tell Radio Roy; “Move ON!”

I liked Staunton, he had a great career in Liverpool. I think he will command the respect of the players for what he has achieved, but lacking in managerial skills, they've drafted in ole Bobby Robson. Not such a bad idea, given his managerial successes in the past. Good luck to both of them.

On a mostly unrelated note, I think Servilia needed a Dennis…

Weenie, I like Steve too. I'm just wondering about making him manager after saying so much last year about getting an someone with experince. But as you say, Robson has that. so yeah, good luck.
