But the God I don’t believe in is a good God, a just God, a merciful God. He’s not the mean and stupid God you make him out to be

I’m away at the moment. But before I went I did a book quiz. Turns out I’m a gorram genius book

You’re Catch-22!
by Joseph Heller
Incredibly witty and funny, you have a taste for irony in all that you
see. It seems that life has put you in perpetually untenable situations, and your sense
of humor is all that gets you through them. These experiences have also made you an
ardent pacifist, though you present your message with tongue sewn into cheek. You
could coin a phrase that replaces the word "paradox" for millions of
people.

You see, I knew there was a reason why I liked you. You're one of my favourite books!

i do love catch 22… i got "You're Pale Fire!
    by Vladimir Nabokov
You're really into poetry and the interpretation thereof. Along the road of life, you have had several identity crises which make it very unclear who you are, let alone how to interpret poetry. You probably came from a foreign country, but then again you seem foreign to everyone in ways unrelated to immigration. Most people think you're quite funny, but maybe you're just sick. Talking to you ends up being much like playing a round of the popular board game Clue."

I was Hugo's Les Miserables. Which could explain why I'm broke and always bursting into song…

You simply don't know what to believe, but you're willing to try anything once. Western values, Eastern values, hedonism and minimalism, you've spent some time in every camp. But you still don't have any idea what camp you belong in. This makes you an individualist of the highest order, but also really lonely. It's time to chill out under a tree. And realize that at least you believe in ferries.

Well that was a frakkin' waste of time! Thanks!

Doesn't everyone come from a foreign country mish? from a certain perspective anyway?

NM, you burst into song? Messy.

FM, you don't believe in ferries?

  6. Alan says:

Apparently I am "A Prayer for Owen Meany". Which is pretty gorram shiny because it is my absolute favourite book ever!

  7. Fence says:

Good for you. I've heard good things but never read it.

  8. Ann says:

I was all excited because I was Watership Down. Then I told my husband and we had to have this big metaphysical discussion because, of course, no one can actually be a book.

  9. Fence says:

Well Ann, no one can be a book. But you can embody the qualities of the book, and purely for ease of language use we can say you are that book.
