So Fri. was NineMoons last day at work before she disappears into a haze of studying and exams. So as is usual she had a bit of a night out. I only turned up to the pub (where that stairs comes from) at 8, she and her work cronies had been there since around 6. Lets just say it was an interesting night

A certain fella, lets call him Roy, got a little drunk, and, when the discussion turned to terrorists, bombers and America, got a little upset. I’m not saying I wasn’t involved. I certainly wasn’t disagreeing with him purely for enjoyment purposes (can you see my innocent face?). Trouble is when drink is involved other things often surface don’t they. Roy threw a bit of a wobbly and stormed out.

I still thought it was quite funny, but felt a bit sorry for him because once he sobered up he’d realise what a plonker he’d been. But the situation hugely improved when he came back with the perfect politican’s apology. You know they say sorry but blame everyone else anyway. Which resulted in him and NM getting in an argument. I left them too it, still amused, and headed to the loo. Thereby missing the classist accusation that would’ve pleased Lenin, and that left NM speechless^[1] .

There were tears and arguments, and standing around in the freezing cold, and Roy storming out and returning on numerous occasions and then returning, before eventually we all headed for home.

So should I tell you my guilty secret?

I still think it was hi-larious.

And yes, Roy did feel a plonker this morning and rang NM to make an “abject apology”. Poor fella.

Before all this excitement however we did amuse ourselves at one point discussing you exactly would be our 5 celebs, you know the ones you’d take away to a fantasy island. My five, in no particular order were:

• Sean Bean
• Viggo Mortensen
• Vin Diesel
• Vince Vaughn
• Keifer Sutherland

So who are your five?

Despite all this excitement NM, Copper-copper and I still got up at 9ish this morning and headed off to watch the Wedding Crashers. C-C hadn’t seen it before, but me and NM had. Glad to report that it was just as good the second time round. And yes, this film is the reason Vaughn made my list last night.
