Politicians or just big kids?Paisley and Trimble in Slanging Match. Personally I think Paisley is great craic, but that may be because I don’t have to deal with him, or others who share his views. And also because he has no real impact on my life. Apart as a source of humour: Was watching the news a while ago and it had an excerpt of a speech he gave. Something about Gerry Adams having to watch out, and a warning that his “Tiocfaidh would never ár lá” which personally I found hilarious.
Mainly because Tiocfaidh (or chuckie as he pronounced it) means “will come” and ár lá means our day. Tiocfaidh ár lá has been an IRA-type statement for many any years meaning our day will come.
